Ars Musicae Chamber Orchestra
|
Orchestra founded in 1964 by Renée Pietrafesa Bonnet,
during the First Festival of Chamber music outdoors of the Uruguay
realized in the Quinta del Arte in Montevideo.
Ars Musicæ diffuses chamber music in our country
its multiple aspects and from its different groups. The initial ensemble
was entiched then with the Baroque Group with instruments of epoch
and with the Chamber orchestra that consists of 10 instrumentalists
of strings, key, flute, and in addition performers who join according to
the works to interpreting. The repertoire that its executes allows to bring
together international great performers with professional young performers
and recognized artists of our country.
With this new group Ars Musicæ realized multiple
activities among those outlined the cycle of didactic concerts Jugando
con la Música for Youth concerts and the SODRE, the
recital in the Complex of Spectacles of the SODRE and the concerts
in the Sala Zitarrosa, all with great success.
Ars Musicæ performs in cities of the interior, executing
a reperoire that spreads from the Baroque period to the present day.
James Rapportt, double-bass soloist of the Orchestra
of Vienna, after an performance with Ars Musicæ
declared: I am really amazed of the musical and human level of this
orchestra, and I want to return every year to Montevideo to play with
them. He emphasized exactly these aspects that so much matter for
its Conductor, who proposes a very special dynamic of group and in whom every
member there can develop totally his qualities of interpreter, improviser,
creator, pedagogue, organizer and promotor of companionship and solidarity.
From the year 2007, Ars Musicæ realizes didactic
concerts for groups of Artistic Baccalaureate and Primary
Education, supported by the Department of Education and Culture
in the Espacio Renée Bonnet of the
Quinta del Arte. It is invited also by the SODRE
in its cycles of Chamber music in the Auditorio Nelly
Goitiño
All the members of the Orchestra and the soloists of various works of
the program are excellent professional musicians of our circle.
